Human Security Survey: Methodology

The Human Security Survey (HSS) has been carried out in several locations in South Sudan and Iraq, with a total of over 4500 surveys conducted on civilians’ experiences, perceptions, and expectations in situations of conflict.

The research methodology has been developed by PAX’s Protection of Civilians department and includes a series of complementary activities, including population-based research, community engagement, and advocacy. Details on the HSS method can be found in our methodology reports on Iraq and South Sudan.
